This patient came in with a broken lower molar. We removed the broken mercury filling and decay and used the Cerec machine to restore it with a partial crown. Partial crowns are great because we are able to leave the good portions of the tooth and replace only the decayed or broken areas. Most dental offices would cut the entire tooth down for a full crown, make you wear a temporary crown, have you back for more shots and final cement in 2-3 weeks. This is a much better way to restore the tooth.
